Hi, Everyone! It’s me Akie, your favorite Akita Bijin! Today I have another treat for you! We at Akita Bijin Inc. interviewed this welcomed addition to Akita; I want to tell you about my new friend Ayumi. She’s a lovely person and I had a lot of fun talking about all things bijin. I’m sure you’ll love reading about her as much as I did.
Ayumi is a dancer, and from looking at her I can tell she definitely keeps herself in shape. I mean, she has limbs that would make a tree jealous! Me too! Dancing must be a great way to keep oneself healthy and beautiful. Ayumi says that exercise is the key to anyone wanting to be …Bijin! She does a nightly stretching routine, Yoga classes twice a week, and of course dancing. Ayumi told me, “being a dancer, I am always concerned about my body and it’s overall condition…And yes, I am concerned about weight control.” Well, I can tell you she has nothing to be concerned about!
Another cool thing I found out about Ayumi was that she lived in California for about three years studying dance (so her English is really really good). Said she loved it there; people were kind and friendly. The weather was great, but the sun was bit strong for her. Akita sunlight is not nearly as intense and thus less damaging to the skin. Just remember some sunshine is healthy. A little goes a long way, and keeps your skin aglow. She, like other Akita ladies I’ve spoken with, believe Akita’s low intensity sunlight is important for keeping the skin lovely and beautiful.
As you know I like onsens (hot springs) so, I wanted to know what Ayumi thinks about them. She said they are also an important part of her beauty “secret.” She visits them as often as she can. At least twice a month she and her mom, another Bijin, take relaxing baths in Akita’s soothing waters. She prefers water that isn’t too hot. She also advises wiping your body off softly rather than scrubbing it. Ayumi’s favorite onsen is the well-known Tsurunoyu Hot Spring resort near Lake Tazawa. I talked about these places in some of my earlier blogs. I’ll talk more about it later for sure!
Oh, I just love Ayumi, don’t you? We had a ball talking and chatting and laughing…it was really fun! And if you ask me, her most adorable beauty attraction is her radiating smile! Ayumi has such an infectious smile. It will definitely melt some hearts! Feeling good and always smiling will make anyone look great, she says. I believe her smiling always makes her feel beautiful and makes me feel great too!
So, I just want to say, “Thank You!” to Ayumi for being herself, and sharing her secrets with me, so I can share them with all of you. I hope to have her back for another chat session. I’ll keep you posted.
Until then, keep smiling!!!!!!
Mata ne!
