Japan vs. USA Women’s World Cup Viewing Party

Morning Glory Festival

The Iriya Asagao Matsuri is a mainstay summer festival that celebrates the beautiful Morning Glories of Iriya. The flowers were originally cultivated by samurai during the end of the Edo era, and since over 1,000 different types have been bred.

World Press Photo Exhibition

Tokyo Cigar Group

  • Admission: Free

Head over to Rhum et Tafia cafe in Roppongi and meet up with the Tokyo Cigar group. Bring your own or buy a cigar there. All are welcome to join, so even beginners can sink into the warmth of a nice stogie.

Day of 46,000 Blessings and Hozuki-ichi

  • Location: Sensoji Temple, Asakusa
  • Admission: Free

It’s said that visiting Sensoji Temple and offering prayers on July 10 is the same as doing good for 46,000 days. If you live in Tokyo, you’ll probably want to save all that time. Throw on your Jimbei or Yukata and head to the temple on the 10th. You can enjoy the multitude of the beautiful read Chinese lantern plants and browse over 350 stalls.

Africa Hibiya Festival

Africa is a continent made up of hundreds of distinct cultures and traditions. Celebrate contemporary and traditional aspects of many of these cultures at the Africa Hibiya Festival. Shop the bazaar while mixing it up with cocktails and craft beer and treat yourself to some really tasty fare from many different countries.
