Fukagawa Hachiman Matsuri
This annual event is one of the three best summer festivals in Tokyo. Traditional music, dance and performances are scheduled along with parades. The highlight is the "Mizukake" matsuri where heaps of water is splashed on shrine bearers.

Godzilla in Yokohama!
Celebrate the King of All Kaiju at this special exhibit in Yokohama. Models and other bits of Godzilla movie magic will be on display. There will also be autograph sessions featuring some of the stars and directors of "Godzilla" films.

Standup Comedy at The Hobgoblin

London After Midnight's Endless Summer
August is time for London After Midnight's Endless Summer Nights at DJ Bar Bridge with a series of fresh new faces spinning choice tunes to hit that perfect beat. John Flanagan, Tatsuhiko and Miki play alongside regulars DJ Nori and Dirty Munoz at this beach party with 6 DJs on the 10th floor.

Jingu Gaien Hanabi Taikai
This display of 10,000 fireworks takes place at multiple venues around Shinjuku. Unlike most fireworks festivals, this one charges admission, but there will be musical performances preceding the show.

Saitama City Fireworks
For a free fireworks show, head up to Saitama City. 3,500 shell bursts will fill the night sky over Omagi Park this Saturday evening.

Respect Jamaican Festival
The Respect Jamaican Festival celebrates the long history of Japan’s appreciation for reggae music and Jamaican culture. Authentic Jamaican food, live performances, cultural booths and more will fill Hibiya Park during this event.
